Good to see people returning to the scene.
(Or at least starting to post again ;-) )

I'm curious about your nick.
What does it mean or where does it come from?

Hmm, I thought the nick might be something to do with them.
I sort of thought perhaps not though, as I wouldn't admit to working for them.

A mate of mine was told that if you applying for a job in that industry and EDS is on your CV, it counts against you.

Don' know how true that is.

The front line staff I used to work with in EDS were a good bunch.
From what I can gather, the problems stemmed from further up the food chain.

So in that respect, probably not that much different to most other companies.

I was also under the impression that EDS staff weren't paid as quite as much as their counterparts in other companies.
Although how anyone know that is a mystery a I'm told EDS staff are not allowed to talk about their saleries and could face dismissal if they do.

The not allowed to talk about pay bit came from an EDS employee.
But that was probably four or five years ago now so may just be out of date info.

The discussion arose because he found a payslip from one of our staff and was very concerned.
Wasn't an issue for us though as pay is dictated by grade and the scales are published for all to see.
