The pin nearest to the CF connector is /ovr, the next one /int2. It should be ok to leave /int6 unconnected, this signal leads to the clockport connector and is not used for IDE.

Is the CF master jumper connected? Is KS3.1 rom version V40.063?

If you connect an activity led, it should blink after Amiga is powered on, before the boot process continues (It checks for a bootable IDE/CF disk.)

Is there any other expansion connected? RAM expansions that use D8xxxx-DExxxx would conflict with cfidecp board.

EDIT:

Are the connections to the /ovr and /int2 pins good? The pins on the header are a little short. Wire to pin header connectors often expect a little bit longer pins. (such as the A500 keyboard pin header and the wire-connector)

I think I might discovered the problem, the new type of CF-connector I used with some boards has pin order somehow different ... And I might have tested the board using the IDE connector instead of the CF slot. (More at the end of this post...)

The "LD33" regulator shouldn't get hot.

Do the CF cards still work with the slingshot+a2091+scsiidecf combination, or are they burned? I hope not.

What kind of IDE-CF adapter do you have at the end of the ribbon cable? Unlike I wrote in previous post, +5v should be supplied separately, because no +5v supply is fed through the 40-pin ribbon cable.

The unsuitable CF-connector I've soldered on some latest boards have pins in swapped order in pairs, such that signals that should go to top row of pins go to the lower row, and vice-versa.

Can you post a picture of the CF-connector end of the board, to identify if it is the wrong type?

At least the cf connector is of the normal type.
I can send you a replacement (some day this week) for the defective one.
