Blur are returning to their original line-up for a gig in Hyde Park, London on the 3rd of July 2009. Tickets went on sale at 08:58 this morning and by 09:01 were sold out.....

Oh if I had known you liked Blur then I would have let you know about the gig last night! If you manage to get a ticket for the 3rd then I'll see you there! :-)

I always wanted to go and see Blur when I was growing up but for some reason I never did. When they changed the lineup I lost the urge, so the reunion gig is really fulfilling a childhood dream :-)  Really hope they play Jubilee :-D

I never cared for the albums they released after The Great Escape, but I suppose I'll have to get familiar with them now ;-)

I do know what you mean. I actually prefer listening to music on my own in peace and quiet. I haven't been to many live shows - Aerosmith when I was 16, the Kaiser Chiefs a couple of years ago, Radiohead earlier this year, and now Blur next year. I have enjoyed all of the gigs I went to, but in all cases it would have been better without all the people :lol: I do like hearing music performed live as there is something really exciting about seeing people you really admire performing right in front of you!
