Didn't they say that would be impossible since Apple would not give out information needed to do the port?

Yeah, it's annoying how Apple won't release any information to allow OSs to be ported to run on Mac hardware. A version of Linux for the Mac would be great!

Just in case it's not totally clear, I am well aware that Linux exists for the Mac. I was highlighting that this OS was ported with no assistance from Apple, so the excuse that this is the reason for no Mac port of OS4 doesn't wash with me.
