I heard about it on
rtrfm, when their full frequency did a dedication. I thought they were joking at first. It is very rare for people to be attacked by stingrays. Most harmful incidents are actually accidental, such as when a diver steps on a ray, and the tail whips the leg as it swims away. If the barb goes through the heart, I would say no emergency crew in the world could have helped him. I feel sorry for his family. I think he was something of a reckless crock-boy, but he seemed to be a pretty genuine guy. Bummer.
