I'll buy one when OS4 rocks on it. Or maybe I'll buy the BlizzardPPC version (low finances @ the moment) and wait for the 64bit PPC from IBM to come to the Amiga.

You'll have a long wait for the BlizzardPPC version, since I get the impression we're unlikely to see it before the AOne version is out. In any case, I'm prepared to bet that once people see the Aone version, they won't be interested in buying PPC accelerator cards instead: it's going to be so much faster.

As for IBM's 64-bit PPC, it isn't available for any desktops right now. It's pointless waiting for it, if that's all you're waiting for, since the AOne boards have their processor on an easily-removable module (yes, it is easy to remove. I checked) and all you'd have to do is swap the CPU module and upgrade your system to the 64-bit OS of your choice.

Not much point in running a 32-bit OS on a 64-bit system is there?  :-D

AmigaOne G3-XE here.

Rock solid, working well, and DID come with a Linux Install disk (for the post that says it didn't)

G3-XE here as well, rock solid, working well despite being slightly overclocked (reliability testing, do not try this at home as it may invalidate your warranty  :-P  ).

It came with TWO Linux install disks, SuSE and Debian, as do all the mobos I sell as well. And, like the other dealers, I'll supply the CDs for the distro or even install it myself if the customer buys a config and wants it ready to run.

And to wring the neck of another "fact" I can see coming, there is plenty of tech support from experienced Linux users both in English on the main dev list and in the language of your choice on the dealers' support lists.

OT ALERT!

@takemehome grandma

Nice avatar. I was going to insult you, til I realised that XOOPS have Herbert de Vaucanson and Alcibiade among their collection of avatars.

Unfortunately I can't find Zongo, so if anyone knows where I can find one please let me know.

Rose, who happens to be a fan of the 'Donjon' comic books

OK, no need for that, I am sorry for the sarcasm above. No harm intended. I guess some things are worth waiting for, other things are not.  ;-)

I was actually referring to your avatar, but cheers anyway.
