No way!  I am getting closer and closer to getting all Microsoft products out of my life as I find alternatives to the few Windows programs that I have needed for years.

What a sad attitude to have. The right tool for the right job is my motto, if M$ products are the easiest to get hold of, easiest to install and easiest use, then M$ products it is.

Why cut your right arm off just because others say it might be evil?

price of a Deneb USB Considering you can buy a PeeCee USB PCI card for around £15, is someone not taking the piss somewhere

PeeCee USB PCI cards use cheap ASIC's and are made in their millions which cuts the cost right back.

Deneb uses an FPGA and is made in the 100's.

While I think at £100 ($200) it is very expensive for what it is. Unfortunately it is the price you pay for custom electronics. I do not think anyone is getting rich here. 10% for the manufacturer and 10% for the retailer perhaps?
