I kinda like Datastore from Digita. Not bland looking and all mouse menu driven. Twist 2 was by far the best middle ground for Amiga databases.  I used to program in Superbase 4, which is more capable.  Final Data was less feature rich and not quite as easy to deploy.

Twist 2 is real easy to deploy and create a database from scratch with an automatic GUI, yet it had more complex relational and reporting capabilities.  Uses datatypes very well, so I created an module inventory for fun and snapped off jpg's.  Took 30 minutes and it was fairly sophisticated.

There was an update on Aminet to bring it to the final release.

Thank you all. I found a copy of Twist2, so I will give that a try. Actually, FD3 does an OK job, it just looks so flat to me (no pun intended here). As long as I works, I shouldn't gripe. I'll see what Twist 2 has to offer.
As a note - I love Super Base 4 Pro, but the page editor doesn't work in OS 3.5. I understand there was an upgrade that cured this, but I can't find it.

Hi there motrucker....  just curious, where did you find an English version of Twist 2? I scoured the webbies for hours but I could only find a Dutch version. I'd like to give that software a try... I know there's a trial version on  Aminet but would be nice to have. Thanks for any pointers!

Thanks motrucker! I'll just get the demo and check it out. Yea, I still like some flat file DBs for easy stuff. For the relational stuff I use the evil M$! :roflmao:
