Well, if pointless posts were criteria for banning someone... I would have been banned long ago...

With that PSX box you will both suffer from digital-analog-digital artifacts thanks to conversion from analog to digital and recompression.

Worse. Reports are that PSX-PVR TV capture doesn't work AT ALL with PAL signals. RF, composite and SVideo all reported not to work with PAL even B&W :-(

You have a different kind of electricity, you have a different kind of tv transmission, and you even speak a different language (that includes you too, England) and as I believe it was Buford T. Justice that said, "What we have here, is a failure to communicate."
:-P ;-)
You could also thank foreign people for the sweat they've shed to learn another language, to be able to communicate with you

Leider hat er auch kein Englisch spricht...

Yeah, it would be so cool if Sony released a Playstation 3 with a Cell that had only 3 SPEs and one with 16 SPEs, and while they're at it, could also make a cheaper one with half the ram and a Cell running at 1.9 GHz.

:-? What are you talking about?

Do you use 12 V batteries in your cars in Europe?

Yeah, because even in europe the laws of physics still apply...

But yet you have 50 Hz 220 V in your homes. So, are there messageboards that promote these two warring camps?

I've been to Canada, lots of times... I sware that they entered the 21st Century the same time as Europe... give or take a few hours...

We have these wonderful things called "switching power supplies"... they will take any voltage from 100v to 250v and any frequenct from 50Hz to 60Hz... and output a stable voltage, DC current... The difference in voltage/frequency was cause by historical events that you can't go back in time and change... but the main supply is getting less and relavent now.

One day, all these "standards" are going to bite us in the ass, and it wain't gonna be pretty.

:-?

Technology is increasingly converging on global standards... the historical standards are becoming less relavant... I can run my MBP in German, Canada or the UK... with the same power supply (only requiring a physical adaptor)...
