What is a X500-F?

It's my latest design...an Amiga 500 inspired case :-)

For standard (small) motherboards? Sounds interesting...

Mini-itx and flex-atx, NO micro-atx and no full atx, they are much too big.

I don't understand why you keep being such a tease like this. It's not building up hype, it's just annoying people.

Sorry it's not my intention to tease...not anymore :-)

I can't show the full thing yet as I am still waiting for two panels (rear, I had to make some modifications, I have just received the backplates for my SAMs motherboards by ACube) and the right side (where a DVD-RW should fit).

Nice nice nice! In that case I'm excited. I was looking at building an AROS machine anyhow, and an A500 type case would be lovely!

Good! :-)

There is also a space for a logo/sticker so you can put whatever you like there saying "AROS", "LINUX", "AMIGA" etc...etc...:-)

damn Daddy that's looking nice! now if only it were ready last summer when i bought my Samantha:furious:

Thanks Klx,

It's taken about four years, it started as a replacement case for the A1200 then the SAM mini-itx came out so I redesigned it to take mini-itx boards then the SAM flex came out... :)

So whatever happened to this case anyway?

Hi,

it's on hold...

1) CommodoreUSA are doing just what I am working on so a bit of a problem there

2) Not many people seemed interested in it anyway, you are the only one who has enquired in seven months :-)

@ thedaddy
Sorry, we were waiting on the full picture.

I am sorry that I haven't kept anyone up to date but it looks like CommodoreUSA has got it all sorted so I don't want it to be a disappointment.

Obviously I'll post any news here if CUSA don't deliver :-)

I know that commodore USA were planning to sell the PC64 case by itself but i haven't heard about a Amiga case which could house the Sam or Natami etc...?

Any info on this?

Apparently they are working on that too...check amigaworld.net where they have been VERY active lately less so here :-)
