The Brick

I've just got 'new' A1200 with a 4gig HD. Having just bought an external floppy on EBay I'm starting to get a bit concerned about whether the brick will be able to handle this extra strain. Does anyone know what the expansion limit is before you need another power supply. Also I've heard that the A500 brick is more powerful. Is this true?

Great, thanks for that. I think I'll swap it with the brick from my A500 or A570 just to be on the safe side, also the new lightweight power supplies don't keep your feet as warm.

With a bit of practise your toes become quite dextrous. The ultimate Amiga setup for this is A500 & A570, a brick for each foot.

Sadly it's sometimes necessary, what with the amigas being chained to the wall.

After hearing all this I can't help but wonder why the A1200, which is technically superior and in many ways a successor to the A500 would have a feebler power supply.
