While I cant offer much help in regards to Grac/Graal Ive been checking out games made with them of late. They seem quite capable and some of the games are definately worth checking out.
As for alternatives there's also Inca, which supports not only aga, but rtg/rta as well, and isnt written in AMOS Pro  :)
Near as I can tell this is where I write something under the guise of being innocuous, but really its a pot shot at another persons/peoples choice of Amiga based systems. Unfortunately only I cant see how transparent and petty it makes me look.

If youre wanting to exploit the Amigas gfx and sound then I recommend Inga over graal/grac. Inga supports 640x512x256 gfx, supports ahi, cd music and so on.

@Motrucker+J-Golden

There used to be a website, but I cant find it right now. I'll keep looking though as it shows a few examples, and they look quite nice. I have it on my harddrive so if anyone is interested let me know (I I found a few references to it online that suggest it has been made freely available, even though it was a commercial product).

It appears I was mistaken, so far as I can tell there's no AGA support and it requires a gfx card. Still cant find anything more than vague references to it yet though (their website is gone). I was correct in that it has been made freely available though, so my offer to send it to anyone who's interested stands.
