I can't understand the complaints about possible Amiga hardware solutions being too much of yesteryears technology. I mean, most of us have been stuck with 68K and AGA for more than a decade, I wouldn't mind even the smallest upgrade. A 400-500Mhz Cpu sounds like heaven to me along with retargetable gfx and audio.
The technology being "yesteryear" in itself isn't so much of an issue. The problem from my point of view is when old and/or underpowered technology is coupled with stupidly high prices, especially when compared to common x86-based stuff...

Amiga is dead, dead, dead.. only classic 68k/PPC Amigas have some reason to be be used - and mainly it is just nostalgy and recreation..
Exactly...
IMHO A.Inc should just give up and open source the OS and hardware designs, thereby allowing the likes of AROS and/or the Minimig project to be taken forward by people who actually want and are actually capable of making things happen.
Just my 2c worth... I hope this doesn't turn into another :horse:
