Is there a way to make or purchase a cable that converts the 23 pin rgb into rgb component.

There doesn't appear to be anything to STOP you from doing this.  There are plans out on the web to convert a RGB signal to Y-Cr-Cb component.  Looks like it could be built with about $10 worth of resistors and gates and a couple hours free time (counting the time to fashion yourself a DB23 connector out of a DB25).

I'm surprised no companies like AmigaKit or Mr. Hardware have jumped on this simple thing.

He needs an "Analogic RGB+Sync" TO "YUV" (aka "Y-Cr-Cb") converter

Indeed.  That would be a nice thing for us North Americans who don't have SCART.

which is much, much more than a couple of resistors ;-)

Is it, though?  Am I missing something?  You shouldn't have to EDIT sync, just make sure it gets passed through correctly.  Granted, I'm not an EE, but this diagram LOOKS reasonable.

Some modern/large TV sets/projectors accepts both formats.

Yeah, I wish mine did.  :-(

EDIT:
Looks like someone may have already built one of these...  I wonder how much he wants for them in small quantities....
