If all you need to do is shuffle around some files, another easy option I'm fond of is FTP. There are any number of free FTP servers for Windows. And a few free FTP clients for Amiga.
Combine the two, and it's simple file transfers without the hours of headaches caused by the rather incomplete Amiga SAMBA implementation. (Or the headaches caused by the rather incomplete file sharing and security model on Win XP home, for that matter...)
