I think that you're okay.  I believe that pad to just be a rubber spacer when the rear RAM board is installed.  The adhesive on the bottom of the pad probably just got old and dried up - and the pad fell off.  I don't think it's much to worry about at all.  You could most likely find a piece of double-sided tape and re-attach it.

I'm getting an A2000 in a couple of weeks (bought recently from Redrumloa) that has a GVP board fitted.  I can have a look then and get back to you.

Yup, you must have some sort of nuclear powered compressed air there...  Those pads are a rubber-like substance, like the rubber feet on some computer cases.  If the propellant in the compressed air container made some weird chemical reaction, then I wouldn't be using that thing inside anymore.  Any odd rashes lately???  (grin)
