Amiga novice knows nothing; desires help!
« on: September 12, 2004, 12:32:47 AM »
Hi!

I have never owned an Amiga, but my fiance has, and I have had old friends who have had them. My fiance and I both fondly remember old games we have played in the past, and have decided to try to get hold of some emulation software and games. We are now both using AmigaForever to emulate and have downloaded a freeware game. However, we don't know how to use it.
What I have is 2 files of the same game, called disk1 and disk2, both with this file extension .adf. A little research told me this is a non-executable file, basically a dump of information from a floppy. I guess somehow i need to extract the info within to play the game. I wondered if anyone here would know just how I should go about doing that!

Thanks!

Thanks for the advice - yes, it is amiga disk file. I have put them on the disk but i still get the message that the file is not executable. I will check aimnet though.

Thanks everyone who replied! Piru's advice concerning the AmiForever FAQ was particularly helpful, and everything is working now!
