This all sounds that you just EXTRACTED the LHA and try to run AWeb and not EXTRACT & INSTALL ... AWeb sets its assigns while installing it, so should ClassAct. After an Install I was able to just double click the AWeb Icon and it worked fine ...

But be aware, AWeb is OLD, it is not capable of displaying most modern websites, I only use it for fast Aminet search and download, for everything else I use AmiFox

If I use MY LINK and extract it, I can see and use an INSTALL (see attachment) ... if you have problems installing, just use the INSTALLER43_3 from Aminet ...
