Have you considered that she didn't mean it the way you took it? I know that 'lets just be friends' is the ultimate polite womanish brushoff, but
she might not have known that, or been thinking about it at the time she made the text. And some women actually do consider potential lovers as friends, at least at first. Crazy but true.
