Did you actually read the post.... The A500+ had the battery and the A500 may have a battery on a trapdoor expansion card.

Read the posts before replying... Saves people time.

Weird is technically right. A stock Amiga 500 doesn't have a battery. The expansion, if you want to be pedantic about it, is not part of the Amiga 500. Hence the term, 'Expansion'. Weirdami was just making a joke and you took it way too seriously man.

Battery leakage is not one of them.

I didn`t say the A500 had a battery...

You said..."I just got a mail from a guy who was adamant that 'neither the A500 or A500+ had a battery'. This is not true...". Weirdami was just saying that it's half true. Technically he was correct.
