My Amiga 500 is the only computer I use at home. I use it mainly for internet, email, games, music (mods & mp3), converting images, Mac/Atari emulation and text documents. I have used it occasionally for sending/receiving faxes, creating PDFs, 3D rendering and messaging.

I used to use it for printing documents and images, but I got sick of waiting for half an hour per page (damn Turboprint!) and stupid faulty ink cartridges.

Hey, another Amiga user that likes classical music? I've got about 1Gb of converted (from my CDs) Bach, Vivaldi and Handel music on my Amiga.

You've got to be joking. Amiga 2000s with 2.0 in the Toronto international control tower??

If you're not joking, all I can say is "Holy {bleep}!".

Oh that was just me talking out of my arse.

I was being sarcastic at all the folks out there that go around and show and tell about how Amiga still makes a difference nowadays by being professionally used over other more modern and readily available solutions. It was pure b*llsh*t and nothing more.

Why did you start talking out of your arse anyway? Nobody in this thread was being a freak and doing moronic bragging - we were just answering the original poster's question. Next time your arse decides to talk, don't let it near the keyboard. (.. I assume your arse was doing the typing too ;-) )

...What format do you play them in? I have one Bach song that I transcribed on Deluxe Music Construction Set.

Sorry Amiduffer, I missed your question (.. got caught up in the "arse talking"). I recorded them in DSS in 8bit IFF, but they sound pretty good (..unlike Windows 8bit) and they take up about 1/6 the space of 16bit (which can't be played on an A500 anyway).

But I just bought an iPod Nano, so I use that instead 8-). There's still one advantage of the Amiga recordings though - my recordings from cassette tape. I tried recording from tape on Windows and it sounds like total crap compared to the Amiga recordings.

Are you using Medusa or Chameleon for the Atari emulation?

Or probably AmTari or ST4Amiga?

No, I'm not emulating ST - I'm talking about Atari 800 emulation with ACE (for Montezuma's Revenge, Robotron, Defender, etc.).

I tried Chameleon once, but couldn't find any disk images and quickly gave up. I never actually saw an Atari ST (not big in Canada), so it has no "nostalgia factor" for me anyway.

Is that you Joe? Holy {bleep}! You're my hero! (not being sarcastic here :-D )

I tried for years to get a good working Atari 800 emulator on my Amiga and your awesome ACE was the only way to do it. I was obsessed with Montezuma's Revenge (Monty 16K) since 1984 and it runs beautifully on ACE.

I wish you would update it!!! I'd love to see Blue Max and Rescue on Fractalus working! (no Amiga versions of these games)

I'd be thrilled with even a minor fix like the palette (background should be 1,4,8 foreground 7,10,13).

Thanks for ACE!!! 8-)

No, it's not. Read the whole thread.

His arse somehow learned to type and presumably when he turned his back to have tea and crumpets or something, his arse quickly typed in this load of bollocks.
