Workbench wont boot
« on: May 15, 2004, 01:07:14 AM »
I just installed a copy of Workbench 3.0 onto a bootable enabled drive parition. When I reboot the machine, all I get is the command interface, no workbench screen.

What do I need to do to fix this?

Ah cool, thanks :)

How can I make the Amiga boot into Workbench automatically each time I power on, skipping the command interface bit?

Yeah, the startup sequence file isn't there :\ The installation seemed to go fine...I'll install it again and see if it works.

Thanks :) I might have to get back to you again if I can't get this to work. I'm still a huge newbie.

It's an A1200, put a new 527 hard drive in it, and it has some ram expansion addon...not sure how much ram though.

Do I need to change any boot priority settings, or is all I need to do make the first partition bootable?

I think OS3.0 should have no problem with a drive that size..I think it has a max limit of 2gigs. Yep, Workbench will load properly when I type loadwb, but I dont get the Ram mount.
