The biggest problem is that WinBlows doesn't have good support. They used to distribute aspi layer ( written by Adaptec ) but they stopped. Now everybody writes their own and they can and do cause problems with each other. You're also not supposed to have more than one dvd playback software, etc... Codecs cause problems with each other.
