Subliminal ain't it not?
« on: July 02, 2004, 05:30:20 AM »
Greetings,

One time, I have encountered some volumes of Self-improvement cassette tapes, with the sounnds of the ocean at the end that contain subliminal messages. According to the author, the messages contained positive message/suggestion within while listening to these tapes overtime.

Back In the late 70's. Some Rock/Metal, heck, even religious music has also imbedded subliminal messges contained "Blasphemed" or "Glorifying" suggestion on/against God or Jesus. Majority of which are imbedded in most music.

So my question: Does these subliminal messages really affects one's phyche or Influence them in a BIG??? way?

Or this is all a crap, cheap way/stunt to make you buy the record?

Greetings,

Once I tried backmasking Queens' 'Another one bites the dust'. When you play the chorus backwards I seem so say '...smoke.. marijuana...' or something like that.

I never smoke any pot! Didn't affect me but the tune seems to play in your head over and over again.

regards,
