WTF is this? A500 in an weird desktop case?

I'm trying to recognise the ports at the back, but i don't recognise them...doesn't look like A500 though, or does it?

But one of the mouse/game ports is raised above the other...my A500 has them side by side. Hovewer my A1200 has one of these ports on a lead and not directly on the MB. Maybe some revisions of A500 had the joystick/mouse port on a lead and not on the MB?

Checked picture on ebay.de again, and the mouse/game ports are in fact side by side. So it is an A500, it would seem.

Gosh. I looked at some of the high-res pictures, and it doesn't look homemade to me. Just check out the scrennprinting on the black front-panel and the cut-outs on the ports at the back! The guy who made this sure had a little factory handy...it has to be some sort of mass-produced case. Probably only sold in Germany?

Yeah... that's right!  I remember seeing these.  I just didn't realize that the Comptec A1500 and the Checkmate A1500 are different products.  Which explains why the Checkmate didn't look like I remembered it.  (I was thinking of the Comptec!)  haha!

Ah! Mystery solved! But the case isn't listed on amiga-hardware.com. Maybe I should drop them an e-mail and tell them to look at the auction?
