Corupt discs
« on: July 21, 2009, 01:43:17 PM »
Well ok so now I got my Amiga back in its original state that is back to Desktop.
SO I went to my bedroom wardrobe and got out all my 3 boxes of discs, wow they have not been touched for years and not come in contact with any thing that is likely to create any such damage.

I have found that many are now corrupt and no longer usable, (ohhh boy this is going to be fun) now I got loads of 1.44 floppies, but not enough DD so is there any where these days I can still get those floppy discs from as I need to make loads of new backups. If not then I shall have to use the 1.44 ones.

TIA,

Mike.

What do you mean "not post here" I was not saying any thing about the floppy from Amigakit in the first instance, I was talking about corupt floppy's. MY flopys not the Internal Amigakit drive
You may have a thing against Amigakit but I havent, and also if I need to post here as regarding any thing to do with Amiga then I shall do so

OR ARE YOU SAYING that I cant not post here if it is Amigakit related.

DO I need your permission for this?  or should I ask Wayne about it first?

For me on a personal lever I have never had any problems with Amigakit, I have found them very hepfull, but I would find it rather usefull if you would kindly post me a listing of al that I CAN post and CANNOT.
And as a futther matter of interest I have about 500 discs, and from that lot, there is about 30% of them that no longer work.
Or should I blame that on Amigakit?

From near were I live there is another Amiga user, most of all the disks that did not work on my Amiga did not work on his, so its fair to say its not the internal floppy drive unit, I am glad to say.
