Off-center game screens
« on: June 03, 2007, 12:35:46 AM »
Is there any way to center the screens of my WHDLoad games?  They're off the bottom-right edge of my TV screen.

My workbench uses NTSC:High Res 640x200 because I use an old TV.

Okay, thanks.  I'll mess around with it then.   :-)

Well, I tried a few things and fixed most of my problems.

I used the horizontal position control on my C= 1702 monitor to move the screen all the way to the left, then I used the overscan pref in WB to move the workbench back to the center of the screen.  That helped quite a bit, PAL tooltype games run in perfect center now.  Then I changed the tooltypes on some games to PAL, and found out that was why a lot of my games weren't working at all.  Since my machine is NTSC, some games require me to set the PAL tooltype to even run.

Anyway, thanks guys!  GREAT help!  I love this community.  :-D

Try to see if anything changes if you set the NTSC tooltype in the Whdload game's icon.
