I have an A500 setup with a MegaMidget Racer and AdIDE. It was the first Amiga I ever bought in 1988 and it was modded heavily. (No, it's still not for sale :-) )It's been on the shelf for a long while, but it always worked great for me.
1) the AdIDE *must* be under the accelerator
I'll have to open up the old box to be sure, but I think it only had to be under the 68000 which sits on the MegaMidge now.
2) that the AdIDE does show up in the Early Startup menu's board diagnostics
It's recognised early so Ami can boot from the HD. I think there was a file loaded from the startup sequence too. Now which self did I put that TS500 on....
