DPS isn't out of business. They were bought out/merged with Leitch.  I just did a search on their web site (with the PC, IBrowse got an error doing the search) and they still seem to have Amiga software in their downloads.

That's true, Leitch bought the company, and there are links to the software on the Leitch site.  IIRC, it is a bit of a hassle to actually get the software onto your Amiga.

I don't think you need the software unless you want to make adjustments.  I believe it works just fine in default mode without the software.

My biggest problem was figuring out the serial connections so I could actually control the thing.

Other than that, I just press the power button on the A3000T it lives in, do the capture (software loads automatically), and press power again.  I never even have to see the A3000's workbench.

Basically, VTR->A3000T/TBC->DV Bridge->Firewire->G5

Should sell that Microtime T-120 TBC I have too... And NEVER buy Formac products.
