DPS TBC-4 SOFTWARE

     Does anybody know where I can find the control software for a DPS TBC-4?  It hasn't been that long since I used my floppy with that software on it but I have spent considerable time searching and I can't seem to find it.  I am afraid it might have been tossed it in the trash by accident.  DPS is out of business now so I can't go there to find it.  Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, that's the same card.  They say VT2600 in the silk-screen on the card.

DPS isn't out of business. They were bought out/merged with Leitch.  I just did a search on their web site (with the PC, IBrowse got an error doing the search) and they still seem to have Amiga software in their downloads.

That's true, Leitch bought the company, and there are links to the software on the Leitch site.  IIRC, it is a bit of a hassle to actually get the software onto your Amiga.

I don't think you need the software unless you want to make adjustments.  I believe it works just fine in default mode without the software.

My biggest problem was figuring out the serial connections so I could actually control the thing.

Other than that, I just press the power button on the A3000T it lives in, do the capture (software loads automatically), and press power again.  I never even have to see the A3000's workbench.

Basically, VTR->A3000T/TBC->DV Bridge->Firewire->G5

Should sell that Microtime T-120 TBC I have too... And NEVER buy Formac products.

     It is true that getting the software to the Amiga is a pain in the you know what.  I have been through it before.  Hopefully the install feature will be included.  I have it downloded now on my PC.  I can either put it on a CD or a floppy, (probably the floppy), and then take that to my number one Amiga which has the Catweasel and then open it there.  I will then put it on a floppy in the old Amiga format for safe keeping and occasional use.  The TBC-4 I have was in use with a DPS PAR board and as such it was configured to work in a slave mode which is a setting in non-volitable RAM that is only accessable by the software.  To use it as a stand alone TBC that setting has to be switched.  As for using it alone that would be OK if it were in the default setting mode and if it was not being used in conjunction with other TBC's.  When switcing toaster inputs from TBC to TBC they have to be aligned so they all produce the same output using a common input.  Im my case I am forced to use a second Amiga for my TBC's Vectorscope and my Vidtech Scanlok which I use for mixing overlays with my video output to the recording stage.  My first Amiga is full and I had no room for the extra stuff.
