All modern keyboards are sabotaged in one way or another.  Usually 3 or 4 ways.  The keyboard industry runs rampant with corruption like the Camera industry.  This keyboard is sabotaged the least.  And its on sale super cheap.

p.s. This keyboard has NKRO when plugged into PS/2.  That means u can smash as many keys as u want and they will all register.  Excellent feature.

Topre sux.  They psychotically hate PS/2 and won't allow their keyboards to work on any PS/2 computer.  Such as my A1200T, A3000, etc.

Whatever you do DO NOT BUY LEOPOLD!  They are crap.

I agree because the CEO of Leopold has severe Spacebar Psychosis.  He keeps constantly replacing the incompatible nonstandard stupid spacebar with a new incompatible nonstandard stupid spacebar just to screw over everybody.

No such adapter exists.

Topre rigged their keyboard to never work on a PS/2 computer such as an Amiga.

I would have typed on 3 Topres if Topre wasn't run by a bunch psychos who banish PS/2 devices from working with their keyboards.

Topres keyboards are junk.

Topre switches might be good, bad or garbage, depending on who you ask.  But Topre keyboards are vandalized, sabotaged junk.

This:  I have replaced about 1/2 of the keycaps and 2 spacebars.  The spacebar is elmers glued down.  They are absolute crap caps.  

I am trying to understand what was wrong with the Leopold keycaps?

As for the spacebar, are you saying the Leopold spacebar was glued onto the switch so it could not be removed?

The colored caps are from WASD and they are awesome.  Should have bought WASD to start with.

I should have bought a WASD too.  I would have bought one its just that they banished the   A from their OS keys option so I skipped right over them and then ended up buying a $70.00 Rosewill.   If I was going to pay that much then I should have just went ahead and paid $120.00 (or whatever) to get a WASD keyboard with an idiotic blank OS key.

Anyway I ordered some keycaps from WASD to try out.  I will see how they are.

The cable is braided.  But it is complete crap.  Its the worst USB cable of all time.

My preference for keyboards is the IBM Model M keyboards.

The IBM Model M does not have Amiga keys so its useless for serious keyboard work.

The purpose of a keyboard is generate keycodes.
IBM Model M, lacking 2 modifier keys, cannot generate thousands of keycodes that a normal keyboard can.

Fully springed, tactile, and they do make some noise.
I like the sound produced. Totally clicky.
As for cube neighbors, feh. There's nothing in my contract that says I can't use one. ha!

Yes the switches are groovy.  Ok they take way to much force to activate and they are super loud.  But other than that they are cool.

I don't understand why they don't make a lower force version.  They have had over 25 years to figure out how to put a different spring in their switch.

I almost bought one once but they are just completely useless on the Amiga.  No shortcuts work and you can't flip screens with Amiga M/N.

Sorry, just can't get excited about black keyboards at all. Especially if we're talking about using them with Amigas.

If u buy keyboards based on color then u r doing it wrong.

Health comes first.  Color last.

 Strange Rosewill doesn't offer a beige model.

Take a good look at the reviews before you buy that keyboard.  It appears to have a defective mini USB connector that has broken off for several people.

I know about the idiotic USB port.  They supposedly fixed it in 2012.  I have a 2012 Rosewill and I have used it continuously for 16 days and it hasn't broken yet. :rofl:

Another guy told me its fixed in his 2012 version.  That's all I know.

For $55.00 I figured it was worth the risk.

I looked at a gazillion different keyboards that were all sabotaged just as bad or worse.  WASD keyboards are better quality (but not perfect) but 2x the price.

If you are thinking about buying a mechanical keyboard, you should look into Omnikey.  The omnikey is one of the nices keyboards ever made and is 100% Amiga compatible via the dip switches under the trapdoor.

The trouble with Omnikey keyboards is you have to apply a huge amount of force on each key to get it to register: nearly 70g

Cherry Red only requires 45g

There is no reason to place extra force on your tendons, it just speeds up getting tendonitis or Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.

Omnikey only gives you 3.5mm before you crash.
Cherry Red gives you 4mm before you crash.

A proper keyboard would give you 8-12mm before crashing.

A person needs more travel, not less.  All those impacts are very bad for your body.

What does "custom key layout" mean?  Your Amiga keys have Amiga symbol on them?

Back in 2003 I looked into buying buckling spring keyboard but I couldn't find any that had Amiga keys.  The Amiga keys did not exist.  There was just a hole there.  Maybe I didn't look long enough or something.  But anwayz the trouble with Buckling springs is just they take huge amount of force: 70-90g and are super duper noisy.  If u have a wife u will be dead within 30 days :lol:

Neither did I.  I used Cherry Black for many years.  It used to be the best thing going.  Nevertheless I recognized that it was wasting huge of amounts of energy for nothing.  But I had to wait decades for Cherry Reds to be invented.

Some people like the extra force of the other swithces, which is one of the reasons why there are four Cherry switches: One size does NOT fit all.

But how many of those are healthy for you?

I totally disagree with your comment about the Omnikey.  It has by far one of the easiest key depress ever made.  The white alp switches give way extremely easily.  Especially the older they get, the smoother they get.  

I found force graphs yesterday for all the Alps switches.  It showed them as being fairly high force.  I have spent an hour trying to find them today and I couldn't locate them.  All I found was this which is basically what the force graphs said but not exactly since in the force graph there is a hump in the force before you actuate the key:
