I'm continuing to simply stay optimistic about this.  My A1200 is working as it is, so I'm not complaining.

If it comes out and is worth owning, I'll buy one.  But even the low end one is nice for a hobby machine.
Amiga 3000 w/Mercury 68040 35mhz, ethernet
Amiga 1200 w/GVP Turbo+ II, and 1291 SCSI, 2mb chipram, 8mb fastram
Amiga 2000 as games machine in my living room :/

A better comparison in this case would be to compare the new Amiga to the new G5 price when it came out, and sonofabitch, the Amiga is a LOT cheaper.

Comparing a prebuilt Amiga to your homebrew PC is just ludicrous, even silly.  Different worlds entirely.
