There
is a way to set the keyboard in the shell if you boot without startup-sequence. cant remember right now, cos I am at work, typing on a Compaq Deskpro EN (nice case, shame its 'running' NT4 :-( ) I'll try to find it...
use the
setkeyboard command - you may wanna play around to get the exact match to your keyboard. :-D
