Looks nice, but $599 with a 2 year prison sentence?  :crazy:

(Not to mention Apple's quality issues...)
Time to move on.  Bye Amiga.org.  :(

@weirdami

All the prices listed were with service plan.  I'd guess they'll drop, but they won't be free for some time.

MacOSX on this phone it´s not binary compatible with Macosx on desktop either

But MacOSX is binary comaptible on the SAME CPU... please read what I typed more carefully, i.e. WindowsXP and WindowsCE have different ABIs.

Trying to figure out how MacOSX on the iPhone being binary incompatible with MacOSX on desktop is any different than Windows XP not being binary compatible with Windows PocketPC or Smartphone?

If you have to recompile, you have to recompile.  Of course, Apple's probable solution is to add yet another architecture to the universal binary, thus creating unnecessary bloat.

No. My point was that WindowsCE is not related to the WindowsNT software. They share nothing in common. When you run WindowsCE on the SAME CPU as WindowsNT the software is not interchangeable. Microsoft did not just recompile WindowsNT for mobile devices.

And iPhone is not related to OSX software.  :-?  I still don't get your point.  The CPUs aren't the same on the iPhone and desktop Macs, the OS isn't the same, so where's the "holy grail"?
