A couple of months on the road, getting increasingly {bleep}y, she drove past a speed camera and flash flash!

Your speed cameras have flashes??? Down here, you only know you've been caught when you recieve a whoping great fine in the mail, not that I, touch wood, have recieved such a fine, but I know a few people that have.

This morning on the way to my house, Becky had a little accident involving the previously mentioned dry stone wall (rather, the wall on the opposite side of the road) and now needs to buy two new wheels for her car. I honestly couldn't help but laugh. I'm kinda glad something's happened that will hit her in the pocket and perhaps give her cause to mellow out a bit without injuring herself...

From what your saying, it sounds as though she is physically ok, which is good to hear, the scare will have done here a world of good. The best speed deterant for young drivers, IMO, is to take them down to the damaged and recovered section of your local car auctions. That way they can see first hand what happens to a car in a crash, and if your really lucky, you'll find a bit of blood splatter as well.
