Pegasos? Genesi? Does anyone use these things?
« on: September 30, 2003, 02:44:22 PM »
Hi!
Just checked out the Pegasos website again looking for a glimmer of hope in the computing world- do we have any users of this OS about who can give me an update? I still don't know what a Genesi is... (Sega Genesis?)

Is the Pegasos built on custom hardware? is it hardware dependent? can it do seamless animation like my Amiga500? Is there a software base? Does it have a future? Is there a god?

Any answers much appreciated.

Cheers,
RedWarrior

No it wasn't a joke... I'm seriously looking to recapture the fun in computing I had back in the early Amiga days... and the Amiga One with it's specs, pricetag and vapourware OS probably won't fit the bill.

The new mac is looking tempting, though by the time I save enough to afford one, it will be obsolete.

...also why is my signature all screwed up with visible html tags? (I even disabled it for this post!)

Riiight... I guess I need a die-hard Amiga fan to verify the quality of animation... I've had this rant countless times before.  Compressed video might be very nice, but when the computer is smoother than broadcast with rock solid stability it's way more fun... I feel like I'm actually in control.

Thanks for the company break-down though.
