Why do I lose twenty minute when walking home from the pub?

Last orders = 11PM

Drinking up time = 11:20PM

Walk home (sober) = 30 minutes

Walk home (drunk) = 50 minutes

What could possibly happen during those twenty minutes that I can't recall the next day?  Are the laws of relativity broken somewhere along the route?

Erm, neither thanks T_Bone...

I think a late night detour for a veggie burger might have something to do with the missing twenty minutes, plus extra time needed to get the key into my front door after a few sherberts.
