Genesis or Miami?
« on: September 03, 2003, 05:58:03 AM »
For purposes of both dial-up connection and networking, Is there any sort of "definitive" guide as to which is the more powerful/capable/configurable/etc. program?

I'd always used Miami in the past, but some few months ago, when I fired up the old Miggy again, I went looking for something that was still being developed - presumably this means only Genesis.  I tried the MUI version off Aminet and it worked for both my dial-up and network.  It worked well and I was interested.  Now that I've got 3.9 I assume the same functionality from the non-MUI version included with it (although the MUI version did look more polished - is it actually better?)

Thanks,
Mike

@ Indoro, all -

Great, thanks for the advice!  Since I don't need DHCP I think I'll stick with Genesis, although it really is a shame about Miami.  Can't anyone pick up development, or release it to open source?

Thanks,
Mike
