You can also change from DHx to HDx in HDToolbox without trashing any data. Of course, then you might need an assign statement in the other direction, depending on what you have installed and how it's configured :)

And if HDx or whatever doesn't exist, Installer won't barf - it'll beep/flash the screen while bringing you to the list of devices as if you had pressed Show Drives. This happens to me fairly often as I don't have a Work: partition (I use A4000T-1:, A4000T-2:, etc).
