Well, if Bush is re-elected and you want to move state-side, your wish will probably be granted. :pissed:

Poor kids.. :-(

Propper Goths look really good. Lots of Velvet, silk, satin, lace, leather, latex, PVC... Yeah they look good.

I couldn't agree more, Matt. Now if only I could find one of the chinese variety.

Of course, I'd probably have a better chance finding a one-armed, one-legged hooker with chocolate milk in her titties, named Eileen. :-?

You know, one thing that I CANNOT stand about those people wearing their underwear over their big, baggy pants or however they do is when they are wearing an unbuckled belt. :inquisitive: Why even BOTHER to wear a belt, if you're not going to use it to hold up your freakin pants??!??

Bush isn't. almost 50% of the regular army troops in Iraqi are NOT re-enlisting (go figure). He's gotta have cannon fodder so he can continue his war profiteering for oil. It's political suicide to do it now. He'll wait until he's re-elected, but he and his cabinet have already made hints about it.

@ Speel,

I have *NO* problems with people wearing whatever they want. I just find it ridiculous to see a grown man wearing shorts SObig, he has to continually hold them up with his hand, yet he's wearing a belt that is unbuckled. There's nothing wrong with wearing something to make a statement, but that is just ignorance. Sure, it may be the new 'fashion' trend, but have some self-respect. Not EVERYONE wants to see your whitey-tighty's and why one earth wear a belt, if you're NOT going to wear it properly??!?? :ranting:

Yes, that looks too silly to express in words, mainly because it's not practical. Such fashion is just for a short while and then everyone admits that it looked extremely silly. But good fashion stays good, even if it's thousands of years old. I just love Indonesian clothes, for instance.

Me, I prefer birthday suits of the female variety.  :-o

Ah, so he likes nude women. Well, I am not prudish, but clothes belong with humans.[/quote]

I am merely looking at it from an artistic point of view. ;-) I like them big. I like them tall. I like them all.

The what???

emo...all that tragically, whiny trite you hear on the radio nowadays. Most of them insist they have 'punk roots', but most would probably get their @$$es kicked by bands like GBH, New Model Army, The Sub-Humans, The Misfits, etc. Apparently the girls of the 15-21 variety love that sh!t.

Sadly, think of it how the TRUE head-bangers of the 80's thought of Glam Rock. Most true, metal-heads loathed the makeup and cheesy, guitar solos of the Glam bands.

Hope that helps.

Emo, pre-2001: More cerebral sub-genre of punk/indie-rock. The lyrics are non-political, instead being rather obsessive (names, dates, times and places are often noted) musings on love, hope, desperation, etc. The musical style varies from full-tilt hardcore to acoustic stuff, but is generally melancholic (although not always melodic) and rhythmically off-kilter.

Emo, post-2001: A haircut.

Yeah, that sounds about right.

How come I've never heard of any of those music groupls you've mentioned? Am I that out of touch? ;-)

What's wrong with all the old metal bands of the 80's? Or even Vivaldi for that matter?

What... nobody likes baroque these days? :-(

Most are old 80's punk bands.

There's NOTHING at all wrong with 80's metal. In fact, I wish it would make a come back. I'm REALLY tired of the crap they play on the radio, simply 'cos the Radio Execs say 'Hey that's what all the kids wanna listen to.' It's all commercialism. You don't have a best seller on your freshman album, you're cut by your parent company.

I LOVE Vivaldi and baroque will always have a place in the hearts of true musical fans.

I just don't like the fact how generalized the music industry has become. Every band sounds the same, uses the same chords, etc. it's almost like they're afraid to write something original.

BTW, I'm getting *MY* tickets to see Van Halen in September this weekend. I'm not really a BIG fan, or much of a fan at all, but I'd like to be able to say that I saw them once upon a time. Sammy Hagar's back in the band and that man has some MAD tequila. :-o
