There are several answers to that question; do you want cheapest cost, best AGA output, RTG output, best speed, most future expansion? There are as many answers as there will be responders; many folks will give their opinion as fact. Take each answer with a "grain of salt," and weigh the options yourself. You are the one you want to please, not someone with a Narcissistic Personality Disorder.

As a person in America, there are limitations, but we suffer through -- I'll just keep to Amiga's and suffering.   My old TV's had composite and S-Video, my newer ones have VGA, DVI and HDMI.  Since I gave up on watching "Broadcast TV" years ago for Internet shows, I use my TVs as monitors. My A4000T can give me DVI-d, DVI-a, VGA, and HDMI over DVI-d. I use a 32 inch and 42 inch screen both with 1080x1920.  I was in Germany for several months and picked up a SCART cable for my Amigas, so life is not completely hopeless.

Any particular reason so much in the US has to do with politics and not reason or common sense?

Many things here are decided by committee or the Golden Rule (money) and not logic nor compatibility; who needs world-wide standards when we have Rush Limbaugh type thinking (y'all in Europe just Google him).

Yes, I'm off topic; let's say GE, Westinghouse, and Edison set up a way of thinking in the US similar to the Monroe Doctorine, political views of Theodore Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson , and of course, Emminent Domain

Oh, there is no one named, "Emminent Domain " unless he is a rapper.

Sorry, liberal arts education.....
