Can one replace the 68020 with a 030 on these?

From the eBay US postings:
1) A seller believes he has found the "Holy Grail" of Amiga 1000's as when he lifted the upper cover there were signatures there!

http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?itemId=310516863748&index=12&nav=SEARCH&nid=96697111725

2). A very nice working A3000 (sans HDD, mouse and keyboard) just sold for 355 USD. And yes battery present but intact.

AdIDE 2 hard drive interface

$425!

http://www.ebay.com/itm/AdIDE-2-For-Amiga-Computers-/281043085891

I get that this is one of the few ways to add an internal hard drive on something like the A500, but OMG!  :-/

Perhaps we can get Alicia Silverstone to explain to him what Clueless means?

:D

Crazy Listings?

Here is a Dell Monitor ST2321L (bought from Dell refurb'd is $139, since they don't sell this model from their NEW stock anymore; infact the most expensive monitor on Dell's website is a 27" touchscreen at $999).  These two sell for a mere $2,999.00!

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dell-ST2321L-23-Inch-Screen-LED-Monitor-Brand-New-/360491546126?pt=Computer_Monitors&hash=item53eef8760e

And an S2009WB (same seller)

http://www.ebay.com/itm/20-Dell-s2009wb-Widescreen-Monitor-Brand-New-/360505357411?pt=Computer_Monitors&hash=item53efcb3463

Now, check out his negative feedback.

But hey, it's very rare!  ;)

Hey I loved seeing that!  I have one in the box with the stryrofoam. Lord knows what that guy would do with the stuff that I consider rare.

I couldn't resist posting this one from a pretty well established eBay Amiga dealer:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Commodore-Amiga-4000-A4000-Desktop-Computer-with-40gbHD-CDR-OS3-9-/271152248613?pt=US_Vintage_Computers_Mainframes&hash=item3f21eef725

For the price, I'm suprised at the lack of a few amenities like a CSPPC, Picasso IV, Deneb or a few others. Not even free shipping and the monitor is being sold seperately. This is the highest price I've every seen asked for a stock A4000 regardless of the condition.

That's sold by Robert Waters (from over in Mississippi, not actually Memphis, TN);  he sells clean, working Amiga (usually Toaster related) hardware.  He also knows market value, and I'll bet this is a bit of a joke for him.

===================

Now I like this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/commodore-amiga-500-upgraded-to-1000-/130848852123?pt=US_Vintage_Computers_Mainframes&hash=item1e7733089b

He is selling an A500 "upgraded to a 1000."  Huh? Or perhaps "upgraded to 100."  We may never know WTF that means without bidding $10.  Ah, the follies of the silly!

but how much will each price drop be? ;)

There was a chick at a beauty supply eBay store auctioning/best offer a highly damaged A3000 starting at $1000. I bid $200 each time she relisted it with a lower price, finally I listed all the problems that I would have to correct. She got angry and took someone's offer for $300

It will be interesting to see whether the a4000 hits the reserve price, if only so we know what it is.
.

Well the reserve price is above $550!

For an A2320?  Lord knows an Indivision ECS is cheaper, leaves the video slot free, and has better modes.

He's back on eBay with the "Ultimate A4000T" listed for $2000!

Let us see how long the listing lasts.

Dern!

I have a set labeled IBM with box and manual, and a set for the Commodore PC Colt -- with manual, no box.  I bet he is going to sell them to the ONLY person in the universe who would pay that much and I'm going to miss out! :(

It's back!

Just when you thought it was safe to go back onto eBay, "The Ultimate Amiga 4000T" returns.

Yeah, I asked them if they knew their site was hi jacked; my bad.

Their site (crazy4nuns) was devoted to singing/playing nuns with two prices listed: $9.99 or $2000 -- no in between.

You know, sadly, it is not an ultimate A4000T:  I have one still stored in its original box from SoftwareHut, with never used mouse, keyboard, floppy disks, switch keys and stand, that only came out of the box last year to be made up with a CSPPC 233/50, Mediator (Radeon 9200, sil3114ide, ESS-1 Solo sound, 8029RTL), Deneb, ZorRam 256MB, Indivision AGA MK2, DVD-RW, Mech's SCSI card reader and dual boots off a Maxtor Atlas U320 36 GB HDD into OS 3.9 and 4.1.

Wait, stored in a box?  And this is why it's so hard for the rest of us to find good, cheap hardware, LOL.  ;)

Have you seen the film, "Field of Dreams?"  The quote is, "If you build it he will come."  With the Amiga you can't use the word "cheap."  Secondly the quote is, "If you pay for it, it will come."  Now you may ask why this one stays stored in its original box and isn't used?  It is a near-twin backup Amiga A4000T for the one I use all the time. This one has a 146 GB 15k U320 main drive, an SATA DVD-RW and a SCSI 3 DVD-Rom with a 128 GB SSD.
