Just setting up the A600GS I bought at kickstart and clicking the "Register this A600GS" button just brings up the Registration failed message :'(
I have set up Wifi and logged into my Amisphere account

Hi
Sorry for the problem.
Please send us an email with your A600GS serial key and we will activate it. Some serial keys inadvertently didn’t get activated on our server this weekend. Apologies for the inconvenience
-
Sent :)
-
New serial key fixed it :) Cheers...
Save Amisphere Credentials isn't working for me though... :(

Hi, my A600GS arrived today and I have the same problem with the serial number being rejected.

Try now.

It worked!
Thank you.

I'm having the same problem. I opened a separate thread for it before I found this. Any chance you can add my device too?

Guess this is resolved now.

Where even is this A600GS serial key?
I received my unit the day before yesterday and set it up today. Everything fine so far, but no sign of the said serial key, needed for updates. As this is my 1st AmigaKit product I don't know where to look for. And it's not mentioned in the manual...
IMHO this should be mentioned in the printed manual.
-
In the menu, klick on System, you should se your serial key there under General
-
Thanks for the hint! This isn't mentioned in the manual and nowhere else in the menu structure.
Would be good if the key is more prominently highlighted in 'General', e.g. with a larger or colored font so one could find out oneself more easily at least...
-
You don't actually need it, unless something goes wrong as it's auto entered in the registration form, which is the other place you can find it.
-
Then I must have messed up the registration form somehow... :-\ The account was created but the serial not transfered. So I was not able to use the online-update functionality afterwards.
But as the updater is verbose enough and states that online updates are for registered users only I had a hint of what to do and was able to sort this out with amyrens' help.
As it comes to my mind now... another small glitch in the registration form:
The entered password should always be shown. Only that way I was able to figure out that seemingly no special characters like '%'", '!', ';', '$' are allowed in the password. I use them often for my passwords. If the registration forms entered password is only shown as dots one would not know that special characters are simply skipped when entered and do not end up in the desired password at all - without any kind of feedback that this does happen.
-
Thanks for flagging this up, this may in fact be a bug, I will need to double check the server side code, but IIRC only the username is character restricted the password can contain 'odd' characters. I do remember that I had applied this filter to the password field on the login page, and someone with an existing account couldn't log in, it seems I overlooked mistakenly adding it to the create account page too!
-
OK it's not a bug at least not in *my* code in that -) But it is confusing I agree!
-
Having the same problem, bit frustrating as its a Sunday so not sure when this will be looked at :'(
Edit. Looks like they've replied to the email and are sorting ;D
-
I had an issue registering my a600 GS but support sorted it really quickly for me (within a couple of hours).I hope that you have the same result.

Yes, but a bit more awkward on a weekend. As we do not work weekends. I tend to leave my work machine in work, so have no access to key data.
-
Yeah they sorted it for me yesterday (thanks for that!) and just been spending a bit of time messing around with the system and a load of games. Been great so far, only problem was my desk is a mess of cables so gone out to buy a USB hub/wireless keyboard this morning to help clean things up a bit.

Hey Lorfarius! Nice to see you around. Remember your Amiga podcast from years ago. :) Will you be making a video on the A600Gs perhaps?

Cool! 8) I have bought the A600GS myself, but have not done much with it yet. Going to hook it up later tonight. Looking forward to checking it out, what it is capable of. Please let us know if you make a video, so we can check it out. :)

It seems that others have had this issue as well. :( The A600gs I ordered arrived today, and I’m having trouble registering the device. My user account is set up, and the Wi-Fi is working fine, but it won’t let me register the device. I sent an email with pictures attached.
EDIT: That was fast service. It’s working now. Thank you! :)

Database had not been updated with new keys. I ment to do it Friday, didn't get chance.
All sorted now.

Looks like I have the same problem, A600GS received today, but won’t register. It kindly tells me there is an update, but won’t let me install it.. :(
AmiSphere account OK, and WiFi working, just registering not happening.

PM me your serial key, so I can check database.

"Registration Failed: Invalid Serial Code" on A1200NG. The computers serial code is already present when entering Register Product. I click on "Register This ()" and the error appears. Earlier one could update the firmware without registration.

Hi
Please email your serial key and we will look into this:

Hello,
I'm trying here because maybe I've sent the email to the wrong address.
Some time ago I bought a used A600GS. The system is great and everything works very good, apart from the update service.
It needs the A600GS to be registered to my account but it's already registered to the old user and I can't figure a way to deregister it.
Maybe someone knows a way or someone from Amigakit can help me...
Thank you!

I get the same thing. Sent serial # in the reg. bar on the Registration Screen and the Serial NO. from the sticker.
-
So should I write them again? I only sent my Amisphere account and the A600GS registration number.
