Oh sure thing :)

no piccys of the actual setup, so just the CD32 accelerators.
i'm prepping the CD32 ready to send off for re-cap. I think my A4k needs some re-cap love too as at times she can't seem to finish a bench mark run, other times, she'll run for hours...

Cd32@66Mhz will get about 15fps on "timedemo demo2" on Quake1 at 320x240@8Bit - on AGA! compare that to 13fps on RTG via my CV64-3D/060@50Mhz equipped A4k. running the radeon 9250 via mediator gets me about 0.1fps extra.
quake2, basicly cut the numbers in half for both the CD32 and A4k.
which puzzles me, as i figured the C2P routines would cripple the CD32, unless it's just doing a straight ram-to-ram copy blit. or using Akiko. i dunno. but the TF360 is a blazing piece of kit. i can but wonder "if only" the cd32 had that kind of firepower from day one what sort of console landscape we'd be looking at *laughing*

I got the information from the MorphOS-Team that if MorphOS boots but doesn't find any supported GPU, you'll receive this on the serial port:

!!! OpenScreen(): Could not find any valid modeids. No graphics card? !!!

Since that's not the case and "booting..." is the last line I receive, I can assume it's not a GPU issue!

This is serendipitous as I have been researching E for a few days now and have come up with very little information. I was planning on just running with original E but now it seems I should research more on the later flavors.

Hi,

Anyone know where you can source the CPU clot connector for th2 A3000 / 4000? I'm looking for the connector that firs on the A3630 / 40/ The part number is: KEL 8817-200-170S-F but I cant find them anywhere.

if the part is no longer available could I replace the corresponding connector on the mother board with a series of pin headers and then put the corresponding connectors on the A3640?  My thinking is so long as the two sides are lined up it should work. Board to board pin headers / connectors are easily obtained so I'm thinking this might be a pragmatic solution.

So your CD32 has an 060 in it..hmmm...post pics please!!

The card only has 2xDVI (tried both) and S-Video connectors. The X1950 Pro is listed as compatible on the MorphOS page, so I don't think it's a GPU issue (but you can still try to convince me of the opposite   :D )

What I received from the serial terminal doesn't give me a clue either:

MorphOS boot loader version 1.10
Booting from HDIMG0
Trying to load "bootsam_ppc4x0.img" from "HDIMG0:"...
Loaded "bootsam_ppc4x0.img" from "HDIMG0:", booting...

So it really looks as if the installer either stops right after "booting..." or it just isn't displaying via my GPU. But then: WHY?

Any more ideas greatly appreciated  :)

Well then..

It goes back to (since mine works and I use a Radeon 4650)

I still think its the Maybe the video cable? (try dvi cable)
