hot stuff
« on: June 22, 2005, 10:03:38 PM »
Over the past few days I've noticed the haedsink on my voodoo3 gets really hot, my first thought is to put a fan on it. How hot do other peoples graphics cards get in their PCI Calssics?

The Voodoo3 is quite a heater.  Mine doesn't get extremely hot (not hot enough to burn), but the voltage regulator sure does!

TennMax sells coolers for the V3.  (I had one on my old 3500 AGP in my PC and it worked great!)

Time to move on.  Bye Amiga.org.  :(

My voodoo gets very hot. I rigged my own fan on it
half covering the heatsink and partly blowing on the
regulator. Works much cooler now. I used to get
screen lockup when it would get really warm in my
computer room.

Well its been very hot here recently, I knocked up a good fan&heatsink for my 060 to keep it cool but I only just noticed the voodoo. I'll have to root around for another fan.
