Gah!! I tell you, after spending so long getting it started I made my resolve to never buy a Mac as long as I live, though I have been keeping my eyes on the PowerBooks. MacOSX was perfectly usable, I had no complaints.

Hi boring person,

There's a button on the back left side of the base of the iMac.  Check out the web link supplied in this reply for a pic of the backside of the iMac's base ... it even mentions where the power button is.  Enjoy your iMac and Panther.
