Hoya!

I think I am ok, even if my current situation is not the one I would like to be in.

My Amiga refused to power up last time I tried... It was before leaving France, in February.
Anyway, I think I will bring her here, buy her a nifty tower, a nifty Mediator, a nifty new and BIG HD and some nifty PCI and USB thingies to customise her with ;-)

Nice to see you back!

Be funky

For some reason, 'browsing' doesn't seem to fit there. You can browse catalogues, or books/magazines in a store, or the internet....

But in that context? Hmmm, "left-handed browsing"

In reference to your original post, have you been ill LP?
If so, I hope all's okay now.

I like Amigas

My AmigaOne is ok. Nowadays I'm trying to upgrade the framebuffer driver on Linux, so that I can use MOL fullscreen. After that will be the turn of my sound card and it's not-working driver... without sound my Amiga is only half-a-computer :(

Well, at age 54 with various back ailments the bouncing boobs do less for me than they might, but still okay...Howcum they change speed, though? Suddenly the gal is jumping like someone put a bee in her bra! Regarding the first question, let's just say that all the A2000s around here are good little Amigas, booting up nice and full. The A4K w/Cyberstorm and games also is a good little Amiga, booting up fine and letting me play my Klondike and Zangband etc. The A4K for CADD and other graphics with a GVP-050 is a good little Amiga, cheerfully booting up and waiting for instructions. The A4KT w/Cyberstorm and CD is a Baaaad Little Amiga and steadfastly refuses to acknowlege that it has a working CD drive even though it was from that very drive that I installed the OS not so very long ago....and it also insists that ENV: has not been assigned to Ram: until I smack it around a couple of times. And as far as I am concerned, now that I have slept off the morning dose of 900mgs neurontin and 50mgs tramadol for sciatic pain, I'm feeling woosy but fully prepared to go down to the Amigaland carvival room and slap that damn tower around until we reach an understanding over why I was so happy to bring it into the fold in the first place. "Ya wanna play with that Toaster, doncha, eh?? Welll, Ya CANT until you take a look at that CD drive I gave ya this winter!! Ya spoiled brat!!"

my amiga A1200 wont feel living until it gets its accelerator
which I been waiting for for some time now  :pissed:
The really old and scared A600 sleeps under a cover day and night while the newer A600 feels happy when I swith it on for a bit of portability.
and my main PC-Box has lost its cd-burner to satan.
My PS2 serves me well, until I want it to read cd's or some dvd's.
And my Mini-Itx in a homemade-tranperant case feels happy to at least be higher up than the new A600

My eMac is providing a nice faithful service,
My Amiga 1200 is under the bed,
My Amiga 600 is sitting on top of my TV which I will occasionally use for the odd game.

My A3000T is fine, my A1200 is doing great, My P4 PC is being the workhorse slave that it is, and I could be better having to see a doc soon to treat a slipped disc :-(

Cured the lockup problem on my 3000T by replacing the chinsy heatsink/fan unit on the 68040 card with a 486 heatsink/fan cooler.  Now she runs like a champ :-)

My PC is fine, My Amithlon Box is fine, but my Linux server blew its hard drive and I don't have the money to get another one, 'cos stupid me bought a new Sony DVD burner the day BEFORE it died.

I'm good,

My 2000 is sitting on its side (towerized!) on my desk, all of its components run fine, except the harddisk has trouble syncing at boot (have to soft reset it at just the right time to get it to boot up).
My 500 is awaiting a couple bits I've getting for it on e-bay.
My PC remains the abnormally stable WindowsXp box (I work far too hard mantaining it though).
Older *nix toy is fine, but not doing much right now.

Me..........my Amiga 2000 is still chugging....it has the following specs:

Tekmagic 060 104meg
DKB Megachip
Seagate Barracuda 7k rpm
EGS Spectrum
6.2 MOBO w/full ECS
CDROM
df0, df2, df3.....just too lazy to do board mod for df1!!!
Hydra ethernet...which works great, on my router, for an older card!

Use Ibrowse (demo) and Yam...use PC's too, so not worth upgrading.

OS 3.9 and Boing Bag 1...Boing 2 messes it up.....that's about it.....I wish people were porting real player, media player etc. plug-ins...but oh well, I still play on it every day!

I love this thing!!!!!!!!!!
