personal paint
« on: April 03, 2004, 10:12:46 PM »
Hi
I really liked doing anim in simple programs such as dpaint but since i have a voodoo i cant do it.so i bought a tv card and it works through that but not as nice and smooth as running through the gfx card so my question is this.On personal paint it works with my voodoo but when i add a few frames and try to play it on either 800x600 or 1024x768 i get a msg saying the display mode doesnt support double buffering.
So can anyone help me out here?
Thanks again,oh and is there a way to make it personal paint save the screen mode you prefer to use rather than its old pal screen mode.
thanks

DPaint V should work with your graphics card as it comes up with a screenmode requester before it opens.

If the VooDoo card has its own drivers, then do what I do for my Picasso card. I understand that a VooDoo will run with the Picasso96 drivers(?) Anyway, go to the Image Format menu and select the Picasso/VooDoo screen format required (They're all 8-bit I'm afraid). Make sure you activate the 'RTG' button. Click Proceed.

The sceen should now be in the selected Picasso/VooDoo mode.

Now go to the Settings menu and click the Proceed button. This saves the startup prefs you just set up.

Cheers,

JaX

Does the anim play regardless?

On UAE with P96 I get that requester, but the anim still plays. That's really just to warn you that the playback might not be as smooth, I think? It is annoying that it pops up each time though.
