Backup and Restore options
« on: November 09, 2024, 10:26:36 AM »
I made backup of everything by selecting all option and saved the backup into an usb drive.
Now when testing restore I realize that you can not do selective restore of a full backup.

So as a tip for anyone making a new backup, it may be more convenient to just make one selection at the time when doing the backups.
Then it is possible to restore the partitions seperately. Eg if you mess up your system partition you do not have to restore Programs, Work, Apps and Games as well.

Just an SD card inside so if you are capable of opening the unit you could back it up that way.

I know, I did this once just so I have a backup in case the SD card gets trashed.
If the SD card is not trashed you dont need to open the unit again. To read and write a 64GB SD card takes quite a long time,

The backup/restore system on this system is working very well, and its very quick and easy to do backups and restore.
I keep a fresh backup of the SystemV46 partition, in case I install something that could potensially mess up the system.
