You can read there that drivers for a good quality sound card are available at this website.

You mean our under construction in progress website with cut and paste information? Not because of your bizzare fixation, but we have modified our website to remove the offending material. Anachronism Industries certainly would never mislead their customers with purley vapour claims such as SharkPPC accelerators.

ELBOX COMPUTER
Krakow, 12 October 2000

ELBOX COMPUTER is proud to announce the breath-taking new product: the most powerful PowerPC accelerator for Amiga 1200, 3000 and 4000.

The first SharkPPC G3/G4 cards for developers will be available by end of November, with production planned to commence in January 2001.

Mariusz Wloczysiak
ELBOX COMPUTER, Press Department

BTW. You can read more about the near-ready-to-release-since-four-years SharkPPC for Mediator at HERE

This vapour product is still touted on Elbox's website here and here.

Is showing the real features of Mediator something that you would like to hide before the readers of Amiga.org tojaz?

@Bodie

WHat's broken with them?  I might be able to cannibalize a single working machine if the mobo's are dead.

How can you call the SharkPPC purely vapor?  Releasing to developers is not mean general public.  They have said from the start that it will not be released until Amiga OS4 is released.  I find these statements libelous and demand to have them removed from this message board.
Time to move on.  Bye Amiga.org.  :(

Because it is vapor for 4 years.

No developers have gotten them.

And to this day Hyperion states they have not received any board and it will not be supported.

1.  So is Amiga OS4.0.  Are you saying that is vapor also.
2.  I think it's improbable that you know all of the Elbox developers.  Did it say anywhere that they were giving it to Hyperion or other external developers?

We'll see if Wayne cleans your libelous comments.
Time to move on.  Bye Amiga.org.  :(

1) It won an award for being a vapor product a couple times, so by definition yes.

2) Hyperion has made it clear that without hardware and documentation it cannot and will not be supported. I trust Hyperion to know their own product.

@adolescent

By definition, until the SharkPPC ships, it is, in fact, vapor.  As is OS 4.0, MorphOS 1.5, the Pegasos III, and Duke Nukem Forever.  Libel is only the case when the comments are untrue, and so far I've not seen redrum post any intentional falsehoods.

No support?  But... you just said it didn't exist...  Oh well, we'll have to wait and see.  Maybe OS4.0 will finally come out.  Maybe the Prometheus will finally get a working sound card or fast ethernet driver.  For now, it's just vapor and false advertising.  At least Elbox is just making promises, not taking peoples money.

@Dammy:

[Zorro3...]
"It's only 16 bit bus, correct?) "

No, It is a full 32Bit bus, with 32bit for data and 32bit for addresses.

Think a little about it... you couldn't have 64MB of memory on a Faslane Z3 if it was 16bit like ZorroII...

Hey guys,

these OpenPCI ethernet/sound/etc. drivers for Prometheus...will they work in exactly the same manner with Grex as well, or are they Prometheus specific?
